As part of our continued development, we are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Assistant SENCO to support the leadership and coordination of our SEND provision across the school.

 

About the Role

Working closely with the SENCO and Senior Leadership Team, you will:

  • Support the coordination of provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Contribute to the review and implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Support staff in planning and delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning.
  • Work with families and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for every pupil.
  • Contribute to whole school SEND strategy, training, and monitoring.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with SEND experience who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop their leadership skills.

 

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with a passion for inclusive education.
  • Has experience of working with children with additional or complex needs.
  • Has strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Is reflective, proactive, and committed to professional growth.
  • Is either working towards or has the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) qualification.
  • Is prepared to work towards the new NPQ
