Safeguarding
The school has a comprehensive Safeguarding policy in place which can be viewed on this website and is available on request.
Courtlands takes its Safeguarding responsibilities as a priority and has put in place a number of other policies and prevention strategies available on request to protect its student and staff. As part of this for example, the school has a rigorous recruitment policy and process to ensure that all staff are thoroughly vetted and are suitable to work our students.
Likewise, we have a very strong on-line protection software package called Smoothwall, which is the industry standard and can be found in many other schools across the country. The system closely monitors the internet usage and content of both staff and students to ensure that they are not exposed to inappropriate content or people whenever they access the internet.
