Courtlands Independent Special School in Worthing is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team. We are a newly established independent special school for students aged 11-16 with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health issues.
About the role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing meaningful, inclusive learning experiences. You will work alongside our experienced staff, helping to:
- Raise the attainment and confidence of our students.
- Promote student independence and social inclusion.
- Assist pupils with accessing a broad and dynamic curriculum.
- Contribute to providing a safe and nurturing environment where students can thrive.
What we're looking for:
- A passion for working with children with additional needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to learning.
- The ability to act with honesty and integrity as a professional member of our team.
- A collaborative and proactive attitude.
- Someone who has experience and training in supporting the mental health of children.
